"Shoulds" remind us what the world expects of us. Doing what we "should" be doing means we are doing the right thing all the time, right? Performing at the expectation levels of others increases the chance that our approval rating will stay within acceptable levels. What could be wrong with that? 

How about... everything! Focusing on what other people want for us one of the greatest causes of unproductivity. Why? Because we never get the satisfaction of producing something that we choose.
